BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Playing their final game of the 2024-25 season, the University of Bridgeport's women's basketball team dropped a 76-54 contest to Post on Saturday. The Senior Day loss wraps up the Purple Knights' season with a 3-25 record.
A trio of Purple Knights scored in double figures on Saturday, led by a pair of 13-point efforts from Shakira Hester and Mackenzie Creighton. They also each dished out a team-best four assists.
Hester led the squad in rebounds as well with six. Hester completed the year as UB's leading scorer at 10.7 points per contest. She also led the Purple Knights in assists and blocks this season.
Skyler Parris joined in double figures (11 pts) in her first start of the year on Senior Day. The New Jersey native made four of her seven attempts from the field.
Ana Gascon, who was also honored during a pregame ceremony on Saturday, finished with six points, six rebounds and two steals.
Gascon ends the season as UB's top rebounder (7.4 rpg) while totaling a team-high 53 steals.
As a unit, the Purple Knights finished 23-of-48 (47.9%) from the floor, 2-for-10 from three and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line against Post.
