ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – Continuing a stretch of nine consecutive conference games, the University of Bridgeport's women's basketball team was defeated at Dominican on Wednesday by a score of 54-34. The loss puts the Purple Knights' record at 6-6 overall this season, including a 4-4 mark in the CACC.
Jaelyn Choi led the way for UB with a team-high 13 points. She has now reached double figures in four games this season.
Sophomore Zahkiyyah Frazier ranked second on the Purple Knights with six points to go along with six rebounds. Nicole Benini also registered six boards.
Sophomore Savannah Prescott led UB on the glass with a team-high 10 boards. She also dished out a team-best two assists.
Laia Albas tallied a pair of assists as well off the bench.
As a team, UB finished with season lows in points scored (34), three-point makes (1) and three-point field-goal percentage (4.5%).
