Women's Basketball Puts Four on CSC Academic All-District Team for 2025-26

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Honoring both academic excellence and on-court success, a total of four University of Bridgeport women's basketball players have been selected to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District Team.
Nicole Benini, Zahkiyyah Frazier, Savannah Prescott and Niyah Whitten were all honored by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District women's basketball teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators, honor the nation's top student-athletes for their excellence both in competition and in the classroom. Criteria for the awards can be found HERE.
UB Women's Basketball CSC Academic All-District Honorees:
Nicole Benini | Sophomore Guard | GPA: 3.82 | Major: Biology
- Appeared in all 26 games, starting 21 of those contests
- Averaged 6.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest
- Led UB in blocks per game (0.7)
- Scored in double figures in six games
- Tallied a season-best 17 points vs. Jefferson (1/31)
Zahkiyyah Frazier | Sophomore Forward | GPA: 4.0 | Major: Health Sciences
- Appeared in all 26 games, making 23 starts
- Ranked third in the CACC in rebounds per game (9.6)
- Also averaged 8.6 points per contest (3rd on team)
- Tallied seven double-doubles
- Recorded double-digit rebounds in 13 games
Savannah Prescott | Sophomore Guard | GPA: 3.81 | Major: General Studies
- Appeared in all 26 games (24 starts)
- Led the Purple Knights in points per game (10.8)
- Scored in double figures in 18 games
- Also averaged 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 steals (team high) per contest
- Recorded 10 rebounds in a game on five occasions
- Tallied season highs in points (24) and rebounds (10) vs. Wilmington (1/24)
- Dished out season-best eight assists vs. Felician (1/20)
Niyah Whitten | Senior Guard | GPA: 3.77 | Major: Psychology
- Played in and started 25 contests
- Averaged 7.2 points and 3.4 assists per game
- Scored in double figures in seven games
- Registered a career-high 19 points vs. Goldey-Beacom (2/28)
- Grabbed a season-high eight rebounds vs. Jefferson (1/31)
