Six from Gymnastics Earn All-GEC Honors for 2025; Kenney Named to All Five Teams
Purple Knights seeded 4th in this weekend's GEC Championship Meet at Penn.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In recognition of standout efforts during the regular season, six members of the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics team combined to earn 10 All-GEC honors on Wednesday. UB also had six All-Conference performers last year.
The All-GEC squads are determined by NQS per event. First Team is comprised of top six scores, including ties. Second Team is the next six scores, including ties.

For the second year in a row, Abby Kenney led the way in total number of honors. The New Jersey native raised her four from last year to being named All-GEC in every event this season.
Kenney ultimately finished with the second highest all-around NQS in the GEC this season at 38.920. She also earned first-team honors on beam.
Kenney's sensational junior campaign featured being tabbed GEC Gymnast of the Week twice and winning the all-around across seven different meets.
In addition to Kenney, UB had two more Purple Knights pick up first-team laurels—both of which came on vault.
Nova Staruk was honored for a second straight year while Lola Sepulveda upped her second-team status from a year ago.
A trio of Purple Knights registered second-team accolades, including Maggie Coyle picking up her first-career All-GEC award on floor.
Emily Hernandez (Vault) and Olivia Imbarlina (Beam) were also tabbed All-GEC for the second straight season. Hernandez earned her distinction on bars in 2024.

UB's gymnastics team will return to action at the 2025 GEC Championships this Saturday at Penn (6 p.m.). The Purple Knights are the No. 4 seed at the championships with a team NQS of 193.205.
