Gymnastics Finishes Third at 2025 WCGNIC Team Finals
Purple Knights post their third highest score (193.600) of the season.
SHREVEPORT, La. – Competing for the final time as a team this season, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics squad finished third at the team finals of the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championship (WCGNIC) on Saturday night. The Purple Knights improved from their semifinal total yesterday to finish with a final score of 193.600 (3rd highest mark of the season).

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
In a season of clutch performances, Abby Kenney saved some of her best for last. The junior registered a season-high mark in the all-around with a 39.125 which placed second on Saturday.
Kenney posted a pair of top-five finishes and a pair of top-eight efforts. She finished with 9.8's on both vault (t-2nd) and beam (t-7th) while also posting a 9.775 on floor (t-5th) and a 9.750 on bars (t-8th).
Sophomore Nova Staruk, junior Maggie Coyle and senior Olivia Imbarlina also logged top-10 marks on Saturday. Staruk tied for eighth on vault with a score of 9.725 while Coyle tied for second on floor with a 9.8.
Imbarlina, meanwhile, placed 10th on bars courtesy of a 9.725.
Samantha Krenzel offered up UB's final 9.700 or better, finishing with exactly that on beam to finish in 14th place.
Collectively, the Purple Knights earned 48 or more points in each of the four events for the fourth time this season.
