Gymnastics Falls in Dual Meet at Penn
Purple Knights post team score of 190.500.
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Traveling to Philadelphia to face four-time defending GEC champion Penn in a dual meet, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics squad recorded a team score of 190.500 on Sunday. The host Quakers posted a first-place mark of 194.900.

Individual Highlights
The Purple Knights turned in nine top-eight finishes across four events, highlighted by a strong showing on bars and vault.
Samantha Nokes led the way on bars, tying for the top spot with a score of 9.750, while Nicole Pujals followed in fifth with a 9.650 and Georgia Reed added an eighth-place finish with a 9.575.
On vault, Nova Staruk tied for second with a 9.800, marking her third consecutive meet with at least a 9.800 on the event.
Tamyra Singletary also contributed a solid vault performance, placing sixth with a 9.650.
The Purple Knights continued their momentum on floor as Singletary capped off a strong all-around day by tying for fourth with a 9.750.
Maggie Coyle also performed well on floor with an eighth-place finish after posting a 9.675.
Beam saw a career-best performance from Rian Thompkins, who tallied a 9.750 to finish fourth (2nd highest score).
Brooklyn Weingardt added another top-eight result on beam with a score of 9.600.

The Purple Knights will return home on Saturday (Feb. 7) for a dual meet against West Chester at 2 p.m.
