Gymnastics Places Third at 2026 WCGNIC Team Finals
Purple Knights register their fourth highest score of the season (193.525).
WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Closing out the team portion of their 2026 campaign, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics squad placed third at the team finals of the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championship (WCGNIC) on Saturday night. The Purple Knights improved from their semifinal total yesterday, finishing with a final score of 193.525 (4th highest mark of the year).

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
Powered by another standout all-around from Abby Kenney, the Purple Knights turned in a strong showing in their final team meet of the season.
Kenney placed second in the all-around with a score of 39.150, matching her season high, while also capturing the individual beam title with a 9.850 to tie her season best.
On vault, Kenney added a second-place finish with a 9.775, while Nova Staruk tied for fifth with a 9.750 and Tamyra Singletary earned a top-10 result with a 9.700.
The Purple Knights saw solid depth on bars as well, with Kenney and Nicole Pujals each tying for seventh with matching 9.725s, and Samantha Nokes contributing with a 13th-place finish.
UB continued its success on beam behind Kenney's winning routine, as Samantha Krenzel tied for eighth with a 9.725 and Molly McAleavey posted a 9.700 to place 14th.
The Purple Knights closed the meet on floor with another pair of top finishes, as Kenney and Maggie Coyle tied for seventh with scores of 9.800, while Singletary added a 9.725 to round out the lineup.
