Three from Gymnastics Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors for 2025-26

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Following outstanding achievements both academically and competitively, three members of the University of Bridgeport gymnastics team have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

UB's trio of honorees is composed of two seniors and a junior, each of whom earned All-America honors during sensational 2025-26 campaigns.

Bridgeport Gymnastics CSC Academic All-District Honorees:

Abby Kenney* | Senior | 3.78 GPA | Psychology
- WCGA Gymnast of the Year
- WCGA Regular Season All-American (First Team - All Around)
- WCGNIC All-American (Bars, Vault)
- GEC All-Around Champion
- Named All-GEC in all four events and the all-around
- Two-time GEC Gymnast of the Week
- Highest All-Around NQS in Division II (38.970)
- Third career CSC Academic All-District award
- CSC Academic All-American (2025)

Samantha Nokes | Senior | 3.61 GPA | Dental Hygiene
- WCGNIC First Team All-American (bars)
- All-GEC First Team (bars)
- Tallied six scores of 9.75 or better
- Recorded a season-high 9.8 at Brown (3/8)
- Finished with bars NQS of 9.755

Nova Staruk* | Junior | 3.86 GPA | Business Administration
- Qualified for NCAA Division I Regionals on vault
- GEC Specialist of the Year
- WCGA Regular Season All-American
- WCGNIC First Team All-American
- All-GEC First Team (vault)
- Two-time GEC Specialist of the Week
- Finished with 9.835 NQS on vault
- Tallied nine scores of 9.8 or better
- Registered season-high mark of 9.85 on four separate occasions

*Abby and Nova are also denoted as CSC Academic All-America® finalists. They advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.
