Jess Ormrod Steps Down as Head Women's Lacrosse Coach
A national search for the program's next head coach will begin immediately.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – University of Bridgeport Director of Athletics Anthony Vitti announced Monday that Jess Ormrod is stepping down as UB's head women's lacrosse coach.
"I would like to thank Coach Jess for her dedication, leadership and commitment to our student-athletes," said Vitti. "We appreciate her contributions to Purple Knights women's lacrosse and our athletics department and wish her the very best in her next chapter."
During Ormod's tenure as head coach, she guided the Purple Knights to 31 victories and four consecutive conference playoff appearances. Under her leadership, 12 student-athletes earned All-CACC honors while 17 Purple Knights received conference All-Academic recognition.
