Bridgeport Women's Soccer Ranked Number 12 In The Nation In NSCAA/Continental Tire Preseason Poll
Purple Knights Set To Open Practice Next Week And Open 2012 Season On August 31
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's soccer team is ranked number twelve in the country in the 2012 preseason national NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Poll released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) on August 7. The Purple Knights, who finished the 2011 campaign with a 16-0-2 overall record, were ranked number one in the country for six weeks last season and finished the year ranked number 13 in the nation in the final 2011 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Poll.
UB opens practice early next week, and Bridgeport begins its 2012 season at UMass Lowell, which is ranked number 17 in the 2012 NSCAA Preseason Poll, on Friday, August 31 at 7:00 p.m.
