Purple Knights' Women's Soccer Listed At Number 18 in Latest NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II National Poll
UB Heads To Mercy On Saturday At 5-0-1 Overall And 2-0-0 IN Conference Play
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's soccer team, under the direction of head coach Magnus Nilerud, is ranked number eighteen this week's third regular season NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Women's National Poll. Last week, the Purple Knights were ranked number 17, and the team was number 11 two weeks ago after holding down the number 20 slot in the 2014 preseason poll.
UB checks in at number three in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II East Regional rankings. The Purple Knights trail the College of St. Rose and Adelphi University in the regional rankings.
Bridgeport remained unbeaten so far this season at 5-0-1 with home East Coast Conference wins over Roberts Wesleyan (4-0) and Daemen (3-0) last weekend.
This week, the Bridgeport women's soccer team will travel to Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. to face the Mercy College Mavericks on Saturday at 12 noon in a rematch of last season's East Coast Conference Championship match.
