Senior Jennifer Wendelius Named ECC Women's Soccer Defensive Player Of The Week

West Babylon, N.Y.-University of Bridgeport women's soccer goalkeeper, senior Jennifer Wendelius (Lindigo, Sweden) has been named the East Coast Conference's Defensive Player of the Week for her fine play in matches during the opening week of the 2018 season.
Wendelius was perfect in her 2018 season debut, picking up two shutouts in the UB Women's Soccer Classic blanking AIC, 3-0, and Southern Connecticut State, 1-0. For her career, Jennifer now has an impressive 23 solo clean sheets. In her 180 minutes of action, she made a total of six saves.
This week, Jennifer and her teammates will travel to the State of Michigan to face Ashland University on Friday and Grand Valley State on Sunday.
