Purple Knights Check In At Number Two In First NCAA Women's Soccer Regional Rankings Of 2018

Indianapolis, Indiana-The University of Bridgeport women's soccer team, under the direction of head coach Magnus Nilerud, are slotted at number two in the East Region in the first NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Regional Poll of the 2018 season.
The Purple Knights, who are currently 9-3-1 on the season and unbeaten in seven straight matches, play a pair of home East Coast Conference matches against Molloy tonight and Queens (N.Y.) on Saturday.
The NCAA Regional Poll will help determine the eight teams that will receive bids to the 2018 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer National Championship Tournament in November. The winners of the three conference championship tournaments, the East Coast Conference, the Northeast-10 Conference and the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, will receive automatic bids to the NCAA Championship and the other five teams will receive at-large bids based on the regional rankings. Along with this week's NCAA Regional ranking, there will be two more during the 2018 season on Wednesday, October 24 and Wednesday, October 31.
