Rochester, N.Y.-The struggles on the road continued on Saturday for the University of Bridgeport women's soccer team, as the Purple Knights remained winless away from Knights Field so far this season, as they were defeated 2-0 at Roberts Wesleyan College on Saturday afternoon in Western New York. UB is now 5-6-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the East Coast Conference. The host Redhawks move to 2-7-1 overall and 2-3-0 in the ECC.
RWC scored one goal in each half to pick up the win, as the hosts outshot UB, 17-14, on the afternoon.
Bridgeport goalkeeper Clara Karlsson (Umea, Sweden) made five saves on the day, and Roberts goalie Nicolette Knauf had eight stops to earn the clean sheet.
Up next, the UB women's soccer team stays on the road for a non-conference game at Wilmington (de.) University on Tuesday afternoon. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
