RINDGE, N.H. – Facing a third straight NE10 opponent on the road Saturday night, the University of Bridgeport's women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 contest at Franklin Pierce. The defeat puts the Purple Knights' record at 0-1-2 this season.
The Ravens' lone goal came off a penalty kick in the 62nd minute. Other than that, UB goalkeeper Angelina Griva posted a scoreless effort with a season-best nine saves.
Griva came into the night without an allowed goal this season across 180 minutes. She now ranks second in the CACC in both goals-against average (.333) and save percentage (.941).
Franklin Pierce controlled most of the action on Saturday night. The Ravens outshot UB, 26-6, while posting a 12-0 edge in corner kicks.
