BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Despite posting an 11-1 margin in shots-on-goal, the University of Bridgeport's women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 contest to Holy Family University on Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Knights were unable to find an equalizer after the Tigers scored the game's lone goal in the third minute.
Bridgeport forced Holy Family's goalkeeper Jaina Preuhs to make 11 stops. UB also put together a 4-1 advantage in corners while the total shots tally finished at 21-6 in favor of the home squad.
Chloe Oudin, who was honored pregame as part Bridgeport's Senior Day festivities, notched a team-high five shots on net.
Senior captains Elizabeth Pitts and Ellen Lundeberg were also honored on Saturday during a pregame ceremony at Knights Field.
