Senior Taylor McBeth Named ECC Volleyball Player of the Week
Helped Her Team Go 3-1 At Season-Opening AIC Tournament
Central Islip, N.Y.-University of Bridgeport senior libero Taylor McBeth (Langley, B.C., Canada) has been selected as the first East Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for her outstanding play over the weekend.
McBeth opened her final season in a UB uniform, and first as the team's libero, in fine style helping her team post a 3-1 record at the American International College Yellow Jacket Invitational over the weekend. She averaged an impressive 5.46 digs/set amassing 71 total digs in four matches. Her single-match high was 24 digs in four sets against AIC. Taylor also had seven assists and one service ace on the weekend. Her outstanding play was recognized with her selection to the All-Tournament Team at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
Taylor and her teammates return to the court on Saturday, September 8 when they host Saint Anselm College in the Purple Knights' 2012 home opener.
