Sarah Rosa Named ECC Women's Volleyball Player Of The Week
This Week's Award Marks The Second Time In 2014 Rosa Has Been Selected ECC Player Of The Week
Central Islip, N.Y.-For the second time this season, University of Bridgeport junior Sarah Rosa (Itajuba, Brazil) has been named East Coast Conference Women's Player of the Week.
In matches played form October 13 through October 19, 2014, Rosa helped UB to a 3-0 record, averaging 4.0 kills per set with a .340 attack percentage. She also had eight blocks, 21 digs, five service aces and three assists in those three victories. In a four-set win at Dowling, Sarah smashed a season-high 21 kills, and she added 18 in a five-set win over Roberts Wesleyan. On the season, she leads Bridgeport in kills per set, averaging 3.22.
This week, Rosa and her teammates who have posted a 14-2 overall record and are perfect 11-0 in East Coast Conference play, travel to Molloy on Tuesday and host NYIT on Thursday.
