Purple Knights Move To Number One In NCAA Division II East Region Women's Volleyball Rankings
UB Set To Host This Weekend's ECC Championship Tournament Beginning On Friday Night
Indianapolis, Indiana-The University of Bridgeport women's volleyball team has moved up to the number one ranking in the East Region in the third NCAA Division II Regional Rankings of the 2014 season. In the first two NCAA Regional Rankings, UB checked in at number three in the region
The Purple Knights are currently 22-2 overall and went a perfect 16-0 in East Coast Conference regular season play in 2014. This weekend, the Purple Knights will host this season's ECC Championship Tournament in Hubbell Gymnasium on Friday and Saturday evenings, November 14 and 15. Bridgeport, the top-seed, will face number four seed, Roberts Wesleyan at 5:00 p.m. and number two seed, Dowling College will face the number three seed, LIU Post at 7:30 p.m. Friday's winners will face-off on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. for the conference title and an automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division II Championship Tournament that will begin on Thursday, November 20.
