Volleyball Named North Division Favorite in 2025 CACC Preseason Coaches Poll
Purple Knights have earned at least a share of the regular-season title each of the past two years.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – With opening serve of the 2025 campaign just 15 days away, the University of Bridgeport's volleyball team was chosen to win the CACC's North Division according to the preseason coaches poll released on Wednesday.
UB's placement at the top likely comes from the Purple Knights nabbing at least a share of the CACC's regular-season championship each of the last two seasons. In fact, Bridgeport owns a terrific 40-10 conference record since joining the league prior to the 2022 campaign.
The Purple Knights will have a slightly different look this fall with more than half of their roster being new to the program in 2025. Coach Mullin's group will be on the younger side as well with six freshmen and 10 underclassmen.
Bridgeport is slated to begin the new year on Sept. 4 with a road contest at Pace University (7 p.m.).
A full season preview for the 2025 UB volleyball squad will be posted to UBKnights.com later this month.
