Volleyball Takes Home AVCA Team Academic Award
Purple Knights posted a 3.41 team GPA during the 2025-26 academic year.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – The University of Bridgeport's volleyball team was recognized for its outstanding work in the classroom this week, capturing the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the second straight year.
The Purple Knights compiled a 3.41 team GPA during the 2025-26 academic year, with 10 student-athletes posting spring semester GPAs of 3.5 or higher.
UB's academic success came alongside another sensational season, as the Purple Knights captured the 2025 CACC Championship, their second conference title in the past three seasons.
