Women's Wrestling Falls Twice at Western New England Duals

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Competing in their first-ever dual meets, the University of Bridgeport's women's wrestling team dropped matchups to Norwich University (14-29) and Western New England University (4-44) on Sunday.  

Sophomore Lindsey Rywolt, who placed fifth at last week's ESU Open, once again led the Purple Knights on Sunday.

The Stratford native put together a pair of dominant wins, earning 10-0 technical falls against both Western New England's Ariel Casella and Norwich's Aiyana White.

Freshmen Jelene Lainez and Hoshena Gemme also posted victories on Sunday, both of which came by pinning their Norwich opponent.
