Women's Cross Country Takes Third Place At St. Joseph College Invitational
Sarah Santos Grabs Third Place To Pace The Purple Knights
Hartford, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's cross country team had its best showing of the 2011 season on Saturday morning as the Purple Knights took third place in the seven-team Saint Joseph College Invitational. American International took first place with 34 points followed by Framingham State with 51 points and the Purple Knights with 55 points.
UB placed three runners in the Top-10 on Saturday as graduate student Sarah Santos (Norwalk, Conn.) took third place, as she covered the 5K course in a time of 18:45, senior Anna Krasnowska (Kedzierzyn-Kozie, Poland) was ninth with a time of 20:47 and freshman Caitlyn Walker (Plainfield, Conn.)took tenth place with a time of 20:58.
The women's cross country team will be back in action on Friday at Post University for a dual meet.
