Thomas of Men's Lacrosse Selected as CACC's Defensive Player of the Week
Earns third career conference weekly award.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – For the third time in his career, junior Ryan Thomas of the University of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team has been selected as the CACC's Defensive Player of the Week. Thomas had previously earned the award twice last season.
Thomas did a little bit of everything for the Purple Knights this past week. He was up to his usual defensive dominance courtesy of seven caused turnovers (team high) and 11 ground balls (tied for team high) while also helping on the attack with a goal and an assist. Thomas currently ranks second in the CACC in caused turnovers per game (2.73) this season. He ranks second on UB in ground balls (38) this year as well.
Thomas and the rest of UB's men's lacrosse team will return to action on Wednesday at Caldwell (4 p.m.).
