Griva and Le Cozic Named UB's Purple Knights of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following a pair of top-notch defensive efforts, Ewen Le Cozic of the Bridgeport men's soccer team and Angelina Griva of the UB women's squad have been named the Purple Knights of the Week, for the week ending Sept. 8.
Le Cozic was sensational in his UB debut last week. The Frenchman notched the Purple Knights' lone goal in a 1-1 tie against Southern Connecticut State. He also helped a Bridgeport back line allow just one goal in a 1-0 defeat at top-ranked Franklin Pierce.
Griva was also superb in a pair of games last week. The sophomore goalkeeper has yet to allow a goal this season, having posted a pair of 0-0 clean sheets. She began things with four saves versus SNHU and followed with three more stops against SCSU.
