MANCHESTER, N.H. – Playing a second straight non-conference road game, the University of Bridgeport's women's soccer team dropped a 3-2 decision at Southern New Hampshire University on Tuesday night. The loss puts the Purple Knights' record at 0-1-1 on the young season.
Bridgeport struck first just before halftime, as Pia-Laura Wisnewski finished off a blocked shot from Lily Rodriguez in the 43rd minute to give UB a 1-0 lead at the break.
After the hosts equalized early in the second half, Marit Blom put Bridgeport back on level terms in the 61st minute off a corner-kick assist from Chloe Oudin, making it 2-2.
Southern New Hampshire, however, netted the decisive goal in the 73rd minute.
Goalkeeper Angelina Griva kept UB in the contest with six saves, as the Purple Knights were outshot 14-6 overall.
