Women's Soccer Erases Two-Goal Deficit in Draw at Felician
Purple Knights score both goals in the second half, hold Felician scoreless over final 62:12 of regulation.

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Despite trailing by two goals mid-way through the first half, the University of Bridgeport's women's soccer team tallied a 2-2 draw at Felician University on Wednesday afternoon. The conference tie shifts the Purple Knights' CACC record to 2-4-1 this season (2-6-4 overall).
Bridgeport displayed outstanding resilience to earn a road point in a game that featured Felician going ahead by two goals just 28 minutes into regulation.
The Purple Knights roared back in the second half, notching their own tallies in the 58th and 70th minutes. UB 's defense held the Golden Falcons scoreless over the final 62:12 of regulation while only allowing two second-half shots.
Senior Chloe Oudin cut the Felician lead in half with her team-leading fourth goal of the season. She was able to put away a rebound after Rebecca Morris' header ricocheted off the cross bar.
Morris' first career assist was delivered via a beautifully placed corner kick from sophomore Lily Rodriguez.
Speaking of Rodriguez, the Unionville, N.Y. native provided Bridgeport's second goal courtesy of a 70th-minute penalty kick. She now has four tallies and four assists in her UB career.
Following the equalizer, Bridgeport was extremely close to finding a game-winner in the final moments. One of those chances was a shot off the post by freshman Stella De Capua with about seven minutes left.
Junior Marit Blom, who is regular defender for Bridgeport (and has two goals this season), stepped in to play goalkeeper for the Purple Knights. She finished with four stops in her first career action in net.
