LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. – Playing their first CACC game of the season, the University of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team (1-3, 0-1) dropped a 9-7 contest at Chestnut Hill College on Saturday.
After trailing 3-1 midway through the second quarter, the Purple Knights rallied with a four-goal run that carried into the third period, highlighted by tallies from Ashton Lankowski, Noah Beard and Matthew Levantini before goals from James Napoli and Darien Fray pushed UB ahead 6-3 early in the third.
Chestnut Hill responded with three straight goals to close the third quarter, trimming the deficit to 6–5 heading into the final frame before eventually completing the comeback.
